TOOLS FOR PAY SETTERS
This issue of our pay and benefits newsletter is the first in a series that will set out all the tools that pay setters need to prepare for their next annual pay review. Here, we present an analysis of pay settlement trends over the past year, letting you see how your 2012 pay award compared with your peers. Our analysis reveals another year of subdued increases, although falling inflation is helping to close the gap between pay rise levels and the increase in prices.

In our next newsletter, we will have a sector-by-sector analysis of pay settlement trends over the past year, followed at the end of October by the findings of our pay prospects surveys - which will contain our pay forecasts for the year ahead.
