PAY FORECASTS FOR 2013
The results of XpertHR's twice-yearly pay prospects survey reveal that employers are looking at more of the same when considering their pay reviews for the coming year. Private-sector respondents to the survey are predicting a 2.5% pay rise over the coming year - exactly the same as the median increase over the past year.

Our research reveals that many organisations are now setting their budget for pay awards in 2013. So, now is the time to look at all our resources for pay setting in 2013 - this includes a sector-by-sector analysis of pay setting over the past year as well as individual forecasts for 2013.

The forecast for next year is set against a drop in the level of pay settlements in September 2012, with evidence suggesting that pay awards in the private sector are falling.
