MANAGING CHANGE
Our survey on managing change, which heard from 114 HR practitioners, finds that HR is dissatisfied with the role it plays in this area. Most of our respondents feel that HR needs to be involved in managing and planning change at the earliest possible stage of the process.
Our research also reveals that HR expertise is not used to its full potential during change programmes. HR is more likely to be presented with a change management programme that it then has to drive through, rather than having the opportunity to be involved in planning the programme.
Respondents tell us that if they are given the opportunity to feed into the process earlier, then they can advise on alternative courses of action before they are decided upon.
Elsewhere, we have put together a resource pack on the Equality Act 2010 and our latest how-to guide on deciding which employees to include in a redundancy pool.
