ABSENCE TARGETS AND RECORDS
Our research into absence records finds that as many as one employer in four has recently experienced problems in this area. According to the majority, these issues relate to the inadequate recording of information and problems with the accuracy of the records.

In many ways, line managers are best placed to record absence data. However, it seems that our respondents are not confident that line managers are doing this accurately.

We are always looking at ways to enhance the content on XpertHR. We are making changes to the overall format of the employment law manual, and are introducing links to additional resources - such as relevant frequently asked questions, policies and documents and other useful XpertHR guidance - at the end of each subsection.
