MATERNITY, PATERNITY AND ADOPTION PAY CHANGES
This month, we report on the planned changes to maternity, paternity and adoption pay, the standard rates of which are set to increase from £135.45 to £136.78 per week from 7 April 2013. Statutory sick pay is also set to increase to £86.70, from its current rate of £85.85 per week.

We have also added new PowerPoint presentations, which accompany our line manager briefings on homeworking, managing job-sharers and managing part-time workers. Employers can use these interactive resources to train managers on dealing with issues relating to flexible-working patterns.
